Administration

1. Close the nostril on the side you are not treating by pressing gently with a finger.

2. Insert the nozzle just inside the open nostril. You do not need to insert it deeply.

3. Aim the nozzle outward and away from the center of your nose. Imagine aiming for the corner of your eye or the back of your ear on that same side. This is the most critical step for safety.

4. As you begin to breathe in slowly through your nose, press down firmly and quickly on the pump to release one spray.

5. Breathe out slowly through your mouth.

Finishing Up

• Repeat the process for the other nostril.

• Try not to sneeze or blow your nose immediately after use (wait a few minutes if you can). This gives the medication time to be absorbed.

• Wipe the nozzle clean with a fresh tissue and replace the cap.
